karen is an excellent trainer with a wealth of knowledge. The course shows the importance of an full and accurate statement and the need for thorough preparation.

This course was very interesting, particularly the section where we carried out a mock cross-examination. Simon Jelf did not hold back and provided very constructive, critical feedback.

Cross examination exercises started with an introduction of the case by the 'witness', to set the stage for the other participants and the trainer as well I guess. This is good, but the actual start of the cross examining exercise was not always clearly distinguished from the introduction. In most exercises, including my own, I found this a bit confusing and, for my own exercise, made it difficult to get myself in the correct position (attitude) timely. I think it would be better to indicate "now the introduction ends and the exercise starts".

The training was brilliant, brutal (in a kind way) in showing us our weaknesses, which is exactly what we need to be prepared for a courtroom

Very useful and helped plan for future court cases. Role play/cross examination exercise was very helpful on what to expect and doing this as a group allowed us to see other potential questions across cases.

An excellent and very well delivered course. I have learnt so much and the course also helped me reflect on what I need to do to improve the delivery of evidence and how the correct use of terminology can improve how I explain things.
