Courtroom Skills for Expert Witnesses Reviews

A useful reminder although not anticipating I will be attending court professionally in my current role, but is important as some I manage (and that they manage) will be doing so on a regular basis.

Great trainer who made the exercises engaging and interesting. It's a shame the materials haven't changed since last time I took this course. By using a witness statement with lots of issues it's difficult to answer during cross examination as we are not aware of additional information e.g. what written advice was provided to the farmer following inspection; what the allegation of suffering was that instigated the investigation.

Nick was excellent as a teacher and able to hold the audience well.

Very useful course and great advice. Also great to hear from other experts from completely different specialisms

It has improved my knowledge and understanding considerably, and this in turn had a positive impact on my courtroom skills - particularly with the practical experience of being cross-examined by Nick. I thought Nick was an excellent trainer. He was incredibly knowledgable, thoughtful, able to hold interest in the subject area and skilfully explain key points meaning that content across the day was easy to follow and understand. It was helpful having a mix of delegates from different specialisms and having the opportunity to observe. Overall, it was a valuable learning process.

Very useful course, delivered in a highly professional manner. Provides more confidence when comprehensive feedback is received. Also, one technical comment. It would be helpful to provide a clearer explanation in relation to the attached session materials (case studies). I was under the impression that the examination would be based on this material and not on what I submitted. I submitted my case study report on time, based on the example case studies shared in the Portal. As I could not see my submission in the portal, this led to some confusion.
