The overall training was very good and served as a valuable reminder of the actions we are expected to take during crisis. However, in real situations adrenaline can sometimes take over and people may unintentionally react in ways that differ from the training. Personally, I believe the ALGEE approach will be very helpful and I intend to apply it if I encounter such situations in the future.

The whole course was very engaging and relatable. As someone who has dealt with depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, psychosis and alcohol addiction, the course was very reassuring to see that MHFA taught and prepared people well.

Very good course. I found it difficult in some parts due to the volume of people we deal with in crisis on a daily basis. Some of the contents I could relate to with some residents.

I haven’t learnt so much attending this course even though I have attended MH training previously. Tony is very knowledgeable and made the course interactive and involved everyone. Felt safe to share my experiences
