Practical scenario work and repeated use of the ALGEE framework help attendees translate mental health first-aid principles into calm, supportive action. They value knowledgeable, empathetic trainers who create safe, inclusive discussions, maintain a clear pace and encourage learning from peers. The blended modules, videos, handbook and breakout exercises build understanding and confidence that transfers to work and personal situations, although some find the online manual awkward to navigate.

An excellent course, delivered extremely well. The group discussions and evaluations were a valuable part of the training. I now feel more confident with dealing with this subject

I really enjoyed this. I was stressed coming into this but Jordan is so lovely and the environment was so relaxed but serious when it needed to be. Thank you!

I really enjoyed the course as it was very informative and was good to apply what we had learnt to different scenarios. Jordan was great. One piece of constructive criticism could be to expand a little more on the substance use section. I feel it could be useful to mention and go over different sorts of crisis for substance use as well as just aggression.

Great workshop, and Jordan was engaging with all the material and very supportive. I would highly recommend this course to most people I know. It's very helpful to gain insight into how to assist in these situations. I would have loved to see some resources on how it relates to being neurodivergent and how to help in cases like this as there can be an overlap and a lack of resources to help with this. But loved it overall.

Thoroughly enjoyed this course. The tutors were very knowledgeable and made you feel supported and at ease throughout. The interactive breakout sessions to discuss scenarios were very enjoyable. The course flew by with plenty of breaks so not to get overwhelmed by the content. I've learnt a great deal and now feel much better informed and trained up to put it into practice should the circumstances arise. Thank you.

The course covered many different subjects, each one thoughtfully covered with group discussions and breakout rooms. This delivery style really helped bring everyone together, creating a safe space to talk, share their experiences and learn from one another. Both facilitators were friendly, welcoming, and professional throughout. There was a real sense of respect and dignity in the group, and the facilitators were brilliant in how they interacted with everyone during all our discussions. There was plenty of time for questions, the level and pace of the training was great, with a good level of pause and refresh breaks especially after some tense subjects. There was also a lot of useful information and facts shared along the way. Overall, a great training session!!
