Practical scenario work and repeated use of the ALGEE framework help attendees translate mental health first-aid principles into calm, supportive action. They value knowledgeable, empathetic trainers who create safe, inclusive discussions, maintain a clear pace and encourage learning from peers. The blended modules, videos, handbook and breakout exercises build understanding and confidence that transfers to work and personal situations, although some find the online manual awkward to navigate.

Paul and Tamara were patient and knowledgeable. You can tell they are passionate about the work they do which made the training more enjoyable, especially considering the nature of the training.

Was nervous about starting this course but has been very beneficial as I didn't realise that almost everyone I work with has something going on in their lives. I now feel more confident in supporting my friend with their mental illness. Thank you!

good to have different interactive elements throughout the sessions . ability to be open and share experiences/thoughts etc if wished to was important along with the flex to move away from the session if required. working with different group members was useful for break out sessions.
