Practical scenario work and repeated use of the ALGEE framework help attendees translate mental health first-aid principles into calm, supportive action. They value knowledgeable, empathetic trainers who create safe, inclusive discussions, maintain a clear pace and encourage learning from peers. The blended modules, videos, handbook and breakout exercises build understanding and confidence that transfers to work and personal situations, although some find the online manual awkward to navigate.

I found the course incredibly informative, with useful breakout sessions and a lot of useful discussion. Layla was very knowledgeable and approachable. The manual is comprehensive and a valuable resource to have . I purchased the hard copy as I feel it will be easier to have the information to hand when required. One observation - there are a lot of grammatical errors in the modules which should be rectified.

It was a good course, good conversation but I do believe that things like this are better face to face.

After completing the MHFA training, I definitely feel more prepared and confident to assist people who are experiencing mental distress. The e-learning was very helpful and the fact that I am able to access the e-learning any time I would like to re-cap over any of the modules is great. The webinars were also brilliant as it allowed everybody to re-cap and discuss the modules together as a group and I believe it provided an exceptional support network for everybody.
