It has been such a useful session; now I’ve got to work out how I get the over 1200 staff in my trust to have the same understanding.
The course provided me with the overall understanding of Suicide first Aid. The tutors responses to a wide range of questions gave confidence that she knew her subject and gave me confidence about using the material in real situations. The initial technical issues with the workbook was a bit distracting for the first few slides

Initially Jane was nervous, especially as it was via a teams meeting rather than face, however it was clear from the outset that Jane had done lots of preparation and had a great depth of knowledge of suicide first aid.
How much the attendees would benefit from this course would depend on their roles and experience. As a response police it is unfortunate that we do deal with people with suicide thoughts more often than not, so some of the course information were already practiced. However, for someone without any previous experience, this is a very good informative session. Regardless, it was very thought provocative and well run session.
Couldn't log back in to the last 10 minutes of the session, was logged out due to technical issues with the tutor
Not a comfortable subject but I have learned a lot, including about myself and my own behaviours and thoughts around how I go about dealing with people, should this occur.
