I feel I have come away more equipped for if ever I have to help someone who is facing suicide
I enjoyed the training despite it being a difficult subject to discuss and explore. I feel more able to support those at risk of suicide and this has left me feeling more confident in my ability to do this.
I think this is a huge topic but the main points were covered well by the tutor and I feel a little more confident to reach out to people who need it.
The only thing with it being the half-day course is that it felt a little rushed due to the content that needed to be fit in.
There was a lot of information to put across & it was done in a very well thought out & easy to follow way.
It was a shame that the fixed PC's we had in work didn't really cope the TECH of the course. The Lancashire County Council staff PC's blocked the video which meant for quite a few people we couldn't really join in but the tutor coped well and got us thinking and contributing in a different way so we didn't feel too left out.
Excellent and I think many others would benefit from the role out of such a course whether already in social services or support or just a member of the wider public
