Enjoyable and a good compliment to the Mental Health First Aider course. All about those simple (but often missed) steps about noticing something is amiss and having the time and some toolks to start a supportive conversation.

Did this as a refresher. It was great and met my needs

A good first aid lite course that will help me and others start to have the conversation more often. More information on good practice of handing over to the next person - and how to find the next person (with some recognition that services can be slow and friends/ family may be unavailable or unhealthy)- would have been helpful

Thank you Cheryl for your facilitative and inclusive style. I learnt a lot and feel more confident in knowing how to approach conversations when my gut instinct is that this person could be at risk.

The training was definitely worth my while. Though I have lots of prior knowledge on mental health and suicide, this was a great refresher and update to what I already knew. It was good to get an understanding of limitations to suicide prevention as often as support workers it can be hard not to want to overthink and over worry and feel more responsible for someone's life than we are.
