I hope the course has given me more insight to the subject and for me to help customers on the phone who are expressing bad thoughts.
I found the session really helpful, I have never had specific training on this despite two degree's and some clinical experience, and working with those with suicidal thoughts almost on a daily basis. This has gave me the confidence to be able to have more clear, direct and open conversations around suicide not only in my professional role, but also outside of this.
Great quality training and I have learnt new relevant info on the topic of how i can support my clients.
Everything was well explained and the activities where very informative as you had things brought out that you may not of though about.
I got a lot out of this session - new ideas - but also crucially some reassurance that I was doing things right too. A client who presented as suicidal agreed to contract with me not to end their life while working together - it gave us the time to explore options and what brought them to this crisis point.
Training was thorough covering a difficult topic from many angles. The personal contribution of direct experience was particularly powerful.
I found it very moving and informative. It has made me reflect on my practice like all good training
