RRN Level 3: Restrictive Physical Intervention reviews

4.9 (6,284 reviews)
AI summary of reviews

Practical, safety-focused learning is the course’s defining strength: attendees say it links clear theory on positive behaviour support, de-escalation, law, dignity and least-restrictive practice to step-by-step demonstrations, realistic scenarios and repeated practice. They value knowledgeable, patient and approachable trainers who use humour, lived experience and feedback to keep demanding subjects engaging, inclusive and easy to understand. The well-organised sessions build confidence that transfers directly to supporting children, patients and service users at work, although some find the theory lengthy.

An absolute fantastic course!!! I learnt so much. I was a Door Supervisor before this and what the door industry is doing is wrong on handling customers in restraint techniques. The SIA should really speak to Sherwood Training without question. The 3 days were so informative and Steve and Ben the instructors were so good.

Response: Thank you so much. We do pride ourselves with having fabulous trainers who truly believe in the ethos of restraint as an absolute last resort and who can bring this training to life through their own experiences. We'll be sure to let Ben and Steve know how great you found the training.

The things I have learned from Ben and Steve have really sunk in. The baseline, distraction techniques have really been something that I myself in my profession have been missing. The methods in keeping people safe is much better than what I had been trained to do previously.

Ben and Steeve, they have very fantabulous combination of teaching which was very understable and enjoyable. I really enjoyed both of them and I believe they should always be together most of the time when it comes to teaching. Both of them are really smashing in the class thank you for the enthusiasm.

The training was very beneficial, because I learnt a new approach/ technique on how to handle any difficult situation with least restriction. Through arousal model I now know how to know if a person is at baseline ( calm) or if he lost control easily.
