RRN Level 3: Restrictive Physical Intervention reviews

4.9 (6,141 reviews)
AI summary of reviews

Practical, safety-focused learning is the course’s defining strength: attendees say it links clear theory on positive behaviour support, de-escalation, law, dignity and least-restrictive practice to step-by-step demonstrations, realistic scenarios and repeated practice. They value knowledgeable, patient and approachable trainers who use humour, lived experience and feedback to keep demanding subjects engaging, inclusive and easy to understand. The well-organised sessions build confidence that transfers directly to supporting children, patients and service users at work, although some find the theory lengthy.

I recently completed a security training course, and I found it to be very useful and informative One of the main things I will take away from the course is the importance of being aware and thinking before I act

What a wonderful training! I love every step/part of the training. Steve made sure everyone was involved. My confident level is now up there. I fully understand what it is to retrain a person. Thank you

Good Course lots of knowledge Steve went above and beyond to deliver the course and explain it in detail. Couldn't ask for better trainer to deliver the course with his background and knowledge was outstanding. Thanks Sherwood and Steve for the delivery

Steve is a wonderful trainer and in the cause of this training I’ve learnt when it’s necessary to do restraint and bring someone of a behaviour concern back to baseline and every safe retraining techniques has been learnt and taught. I am happy.

Overall, the course has been excellent. I liked how informative it has veen both theory wise and practical / physical. I feel confident that I will be able to de-esculate situations well and use the skills I have learnt positively. I found it very interesting when I learnt it takes minimum 45 minutes for someone to return to their baseline too. Ill take away from the course that I have trust in my colleagues to keep patients safe.

I really enjoyed learning both the theory and practical aspects of PBS. The trainer was amazing and I understood everything he thought. He was also interactive which made learning more interesting and enjoyable.
