RRN Level 3: Restrictive Physical Intervention reviews

4.9 (6,267 reviews)
AI summary of reviews

Practical, safety-focused learning is the course’s defining strength: attendees say it links clear theory on positive behaviour support, de-escalation, law, dignity and least-restrictive practice to step-by-step demonstrations, realistic scenarios and repeated practice. They value knowledgeable, patient and approachable trainers who use humour, lived experience and feedback to keep demanding subjects engaging, inclusive and easy to understand. The well-organised sessions build confidence that transfers directly to supporting children, patients and service users at work, although some find the theory lengthy.

Overall the course is very useful for managing patients challenging behaviour. I'd like to think this would be useful in my practice

Course was great, very informative and went over all aspects of learning how to de-escalate, the theory behind it and then safe holding. All information was so useful. Ben was an amazing trainer, made everyone feel welcomed and safe. He used great expression whilst delivering the course and get everyone engaged throughout! Made the day very fun but very informative!

I learnt a lot from the course regarding breakaway skills and physical restraints I found it helpful that we were reminded of the de escalation skills The member of staff on each of the day 2 and Ben on day 3 were respectful when doing the physical skills ensuring that we all felt comfortable To make the course better I would make the theory less PowerPoint and more engaging like a game of kahoot ect
