RRN Level 3: Restrictive Physical Intervention reviews

4.9 (6,216 reviews)
AI summary of reviews

Practical, safety-focused learning is the course’s defining strength: attendees say it links clear theory on positive behaviour support, de-escalation, law, dignity and least-restrictive practice to step-by-step demonstrations, realistic scenarios and repeated practice. They value knowledgeable, patient and approachable trainers who use humour, lived experience and feedback to keep demanding subjects engaging, inclusive and easy to understand. The well-organised sessions build confidence that transfers directly to supporting children, patients and service users at work, although some find the theory lengthy.

I normally really struggle with training courses like this. I’ve found this quite refreshing to be honest, the trainer had kept me engaged throughout. I like how he draws on previous experiences and uses practical examples from times when he was a support worker. The content has been great it’s taught me bits I didn’t know about. I wish I had this training when I first entered the profession, I feel like it would have enabled me to support the individuals I use to work with a lot better.

Amazing course and trainer. Made the course fun and interactive. Offered practical and bespoke feedback through out the course. Very approachable and respectful through out the training. Excellent breakaways and restraint that our young person might actually enjoy and might help regulate due to the security of touch. Checked understanding throughout and very, very person centred.

Overall this course has been amazing! This course has made me more confident when working with our young person. Ben has opened my eyes to how much more we can help our young person! I am now bursting with new ideas for our young person to have a better quality of life. This PBS training is the best course I have been on compared to other companies going above and beyond always person centred approach! Thank you Ben this course has been fantastic!

Ben showed passion and empathy throughout the course. He was very interesting and knowledgeable. After listening to him and his explanations I will certainly be looking at different ways of thinking on how I can best support the child I work with. This will benefit both the child and myself to develop a professional relationship where I know him and what to look for in his triggers and how best to support him gaining his trust and using de escalation skills to lower the amount of behaviours of concerns anf therefore giving the child a better quality of life. After the physical training I understand how safe this is for the child and that it does not hurt him and to let him know he his in a safe place. I have been blown away by the way Ben delivers training and I can not thank him enough for his support through this training
