RRN Level 3: Restrictive Physical Intervention reviews

4.9 (6,141 reviews)
AI summary of reviews

Practical, safety-focused learning is the course’s defining strength: attendees say it links clear theory on positive behaviour support, de-escalation, law, dignity and least-restrictive practice to step-by-step demonstrations, realistic scenarios and repeated practice. They value knowledgeable, patient and approachable trainers who use humour, lived experience and feedback to keep demanding subjects engaging, inclusive and easy to understand. The well-organised sessions build confidence that transfers directly to supporting children, patients and service users at work, although some find the theory lengthy.

Great course. It did highlight some extra training needs for some staff though (Children who bite staff members and how to disengage from this).

There is a very high volume of information that can be difficult to retain as a result of the size. The insights from Marc Ewen were very helpful and insightful.

Trainer was very knowledgeable and explained everything in a clear and concise way. They made the training fun and interactive. It was a small group which also made the training better as you could interact with others on the course and shared knowledge and experience.

They really interacted with us during the training most training I’ve done in the past is mostly theory but this was different we did amazing activity’s which helped us engage more. We also learnt about autism which also amazing to learn about due to the work we do. Thank you sheerwood training

This is a good course with sound basic skills for dealing with aggressive behaviour. I found it difficult to understand the relevance for my role but you never know !
