Overall, I found this Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) training to be extremely informative, engaging, and beneficial. It has significantly improved my understanding of the principles of PBS and reinforced the importance of providing person-centred support that focuses on improving quality of life rather than simply responding to behaviours of concern. Throughout the course, I gained a much better understanding of why behaviours of concern may occur, how they can be a form of communication, and the importance of identifying triggers, unmet needs, and proactive strategies to prevent incidents. The training also highlighted the value of working collaboratively with individuals, families, and professionals to create effective support plans that promote positive outcomes. I found the content to be clear, relevant, and easy to understand, with practical examples that I can apply confidently within my role. It has increased my confidence in supporting individuals in a safe, respectful, and compassionate way while ensuring their dignity, rights, and independence are maintained. Overall, I learned a great deal from this training and feel better equipped to put the knowledge into practice. I would highly recommend this course to others working in health and social care, as it provides valuable skills and understanding that will help deliver high-quality, person-centred support.
