Excellent course! Enjoyed theory and practical skills equally. Has enabled me to feel much more confident with de-escalation and break away techniques. Will definitely keep practicing these skills in case required in the future. Trainer was very engaging and passionate about the topic which shone through and made the day so much more fun. Looking forward the completing the level 3 course! Thank you :)

Kirsty showed us very practical skills which even I would be confident in using. It demonstrates that restraint is not needed and break away skills can get you out of most situations. She went through things several times to make sure we understood. Used very good real life examples and how we may be required to put these into practice

Good refresher of Level one provided without it being repetitive. Lots of information shared but in a timely manner and plenty of opportunities to practice varying breakaway skills to ensure we all felt confident and competent. Time given if people were less confident in certain manoeuvres without people being made to feel embarrassed.

Excellent trainer. Clearly very knowledgeable in her field. Explains course thoroughly. Shared breakaway skills confidently, which enabled nurses to fully understand and be confident in these techniques after the course. Kirstie made us feel comfortable to ask questions and also get things not quite right. Excellent tutor - thank you
