Pointless course for a lifeguard. Everyone shouldn’t be required to do this. I wasted 3 hours of my own personal time for this.
I thought the course was informative and Paula had a lot of knowledge on the subject however I do find it it difficult to learn in these kinds of environments, I’m a practical learner and feel like I can distracted in a classroom environment
Response: Thanks Lauren. This will be shared with the L&D team and you make a very good point about different learning styles. Perhaps speak to your line manager or mentor (if you have one?) and discuss how they can support your learning in a more practical setting.
Good knowledgeable trainer who did his best to make sure everyone was following the content and was excellent at explaining and delivering the content.
Days were a bit longer spread. Would have preferred less breaks and the course to move quicker than it could. The breakout sessions were tough as other members did not want to talk and were not confident to speak in the group.
I think that I will be equipped with the theory on learning that I was lacking however, will need to go back to my notes and read the material provided to be in a position where I can actually use it. The course was run very well. I would have liked to see more examples and case studies to be able to apply the theory. I think maybe too much is being covered so there isn't time to look at things in detail. This could be down to where I was before the training having already had some experience.

I probably wouldn't refer the course as it was dragged out a bit and we didn't get any hand outs/materials before we started. Trainer had issues with getting the presentation to flow
This was a short course and I am sure the trainer was limited on how much content could be delivered in a short amount of time , however we were provided with a useful pack to review following the session.
