Great Class, I learned a lot of things about excel functions via the keyboard. I am going to redo the exercises. And of course figure out what functions I will use for our existing excel spreadsheets
the coverage of excel functionality was comprehensive and helpful. most of the keystrokes were net-new to me, and i appreciate the efficiency they provide. really appreciated the more specific examples (applying the function to a real-world scenario), as that helps with considering when/how to apply these in our work. david's pace, command of the content, and clear speech made it easy to follow along.
Most of my work in FP&A has dealt with the income statement and in pretty fast paced environment where there was no breathing room to learn about wholistic modeling and efficiencies within excel. This has served as good training to see the big picture and be hands on with calculations within the 3S. Very informative on shortcuts, areas to be aware of, and best practices, most of which I did not learn during my years of work. Pacing felt good, was attentive to any student struggles, and went over the content in proper depth.
Aron was super engaging and great at simplifying complex concepts. Would highly recommend this course as you gain a solid foundation across numerous financial topics!
Jordan was very knowledgeable and very clear on directions and why. The course does need you to know a bit about excel and accounting, as it gets very complicated very quickly. But Jordan answered all questions and scenario based questions.
The course exceeded my expectations. I was worried what the delivery would be like with this being a virtual course, but I had no issues at all. The instructor, Jordan, did a great job at explaining all items. He offered multiple examples of ways to complete calculations. All of what we covered is applicable to the real world. Jordan went so far as to walk the class through useful ways to trouble-shoot financial models. Very thankful to have had the opportunity to take this course.
