The only negative I could possibly raise would be the gap between webinar 1 and webinar 2 but that is not the fault of the trainer at all, that's on our hectic office and all our deadlines etc! The trainer, Ellender (webinar 2), was really friendly, knowledgeable and made the session fly by, there was room for discussions and I never felt like I was being talked AT. Our first instructor (I can't remember her name!) was also really good, she talked about live experience of mental ill health and allowed room for discussion and decompression in talking about suicidality and suicidal ideation and self harm (very sensitive topics). Overall, I would highly recommend the MHFA training course to any one :)

I found this course really helpful and important. It has helped me gain more knowledge and confidence when speaking to young people about the topics we've discussed.

Informative and some good scenarios to try and imagine different approaches to situations and also some good information on where to signpost

The content of the course was very good and the book covered each topic extensively if you chose to read further. I feel there could have been a few more “best practice” examples with some of the scenarios to drive home the ALGEE methodology and the videos could have shown an example of a young person resisting help & how to work through that situation.

Absolutely fantastic course. Layla is so knowledgeable and approachable. I have learned so much that I can put into practice daily, and I felt comfortable discussing my personal experiences within the groups. I feel this training could be adapted to children and rolled out in schools.
