Taken a lot from the training and feeling more equipped to provide support to someone struggling with a mental health condition

Undertaking the course online was very tiring ... no fault of the instructors.

The course was very informative and provided me with information that I was unaware of before. I am now also more confident in being able to spot signs of mental health issues and how to approach situations.

Overall the sessions were very informative. Quite challenging doing them on Zoom, but still good. Prefer classroom style

Really informative course. Well presented. Lot’s of real life experiences discussed which was great. Would love an annual refresher to ensure yo yo date information and ‘check IM’s’

Really enjoyed the course, and Kim’s enthusiasm. It helped to have real life examples from Kim and other participants.

Very informative course would have preferred face to face but not possible due to COVID. A few technical issues so discussions not really possible but very interesting and I feel much better informed.

I thoroughly enjoyed the course and the e-learning - I did find myself a bit shy in the first lesson but after coming out of my shell a bit more as the lessons progressed I really enjoyed it. I think the e-learning should be highlighted before the course induction, or the same day as the induction, via an alternative method (e.g. in the login email) - this is just because not everyone was in the induction so they would have missed the part about the e-learning until we received the later emails which would have given them a shorter period of time. The e-learning part of the course though was extremely helpful and informative and I think having that bit more time would be beneficial to allow more detailed notes to be taken. I also think having a digital copy of the handbook would be useful to keep, to make sure we have the information to hand for future use that we can access even on our mobiles.

Excellent job by our instructor, Gabby! Only potential thing to comment on would be the areas of focus and how to make the course as relevant as possible. For example, the chances of encountering someone with psychosis are presumably quite small (especially if you're doing MHFA for your workplace). However, things like gambling addition are more common so perhaps these mental health issues could be prioritised?
