Compassionate, knowledgeable trainers make challenging mental-health topics feel safe, accessible and engaging, according to attendees. They value the balance of clear explanation, real-life examples, videos, workbooks, scenarios and group discussion, with inclusive facilitation, regular check-ins and a comfortable pace. An informative, encouraging course that provides plenty of guidance - and expertise, in the form of the instructors - and, crucially, enables participants to put this learning into practice. Gwen and Rhys could not have been better instructors and I am really grateful for our time with them, and I know that the rest of the group are, too. Undertaking the instructor training was a welcome opportunity to revisit my initial MHFA training content from a year ago as well as to learn about how to relay this knowledge to others. I would definitely recommend this course and am most grateful for having been able to complete it; I will also really appreciate the handbook and teaching guide going forward, too, which are helpful, comprehensive and accessible resources. Thank you very much, MHFA Cymru - and special thanks once again to Gwen and Rhys, who I hope are now enjoying a well-deserved break this bank holiday weekend! With thanks and very best wishes, Katherine Dr Katherine Fender K.A.Fender@swansea.ac.uk

This is possibly the best training I have been on in many, many years. I have come away feeling confident that I can pass on my knowledge to my colleagues across Cardiff Met University. The group and trainers were all very encouraging and willing to share ideas. Good balance of group work and sharing good practice. I would highly recommend this training. Thank you again to Gwen and Rhys for an excellent, enjoyable and informative week of training.
