I have gained a deeper respect and knowledge around mental health. The importance of reducing stigma and offering support. I feel equipped to safely approach someone after completing the mental health first aid course with Rob and the wonderful group. My closing thought is we are better together and not alone.

Excellent course that has given me the tools and knowledge to recognise when someone may be in a crisis with the ALGEE action plan equipping me to deal with it.

Lisa was a lovely instructor, explained things well and facilitated great discussions. I enjoyed how if a topic came up that she wasn't sure on, she would check and get back to us. I found this very informative. Non-judgemental and made a tough training subject interactive and easier to digest. Thank you!

Very informative and good opportunity to share best practice and knowledge. Lisa was clear with her delivery and was able to answer many of our questions. Those she could not answer she researched and came back to us. Very interactive and well structured course, resources and delivery. Plenty of space and time given to digest challenging subject topics.

The course has give me more confidence in being able to ask if someone is having suicidal thoughts. However it will feel unnatural until it has been applied several times and even then, it is not an easy question to ask someone. It was lovely to have this training in a small cohort as there were some good discussions taking place and it felt a safe environment in which to ask questions

Very relevant course. Topic delivered in a way that is very informative but not overwhelming i.e good balance between literature, independent online working as well as discussions in the workshops. Instructor had a very good understanding of the topic and was able to deliver it clearly - she was also very approachable and able to respond to individual's needs. Thank you.
