The course content was excellent. Covered an excellent range of mental health awareness and provided suitable examples on how to deal with certain situations we may be faced with. It’s giving me the tools to recognise mental health better and encourage people to ask for help when they need it

really good workshops and e-learning - I felt I wasn't just attending a course but I was learning skills that can be used in real situations

The online content is poorly designed, laborious and often repetitive. In contrast, the videos contained in some of the modules were informative and highly illustrative. The webinars were interesting, well-paced and very useful as they brought in multiple perspectives.

I felt I gained the most with the virtual element of this course and the use of the videos. Trainer was excellent.

I really liked the use of first hand stories used to illustrate and bring to life various conditions, great for putting things into context. Also liked the caring culture developed throughout the course, with an emphasise on taking care of your own wellbeing. Good personal practice.

Found the course useful and interesting, feel much more comfortable talking to someone about mental health issues. Found some of the PowerPoints less engaging but the lectures on zooms were very good. Feel comfortable working as part of a team in the organisation to deliver support, I would feel more confident recognising issues that would require referring an individual to seek a GP or other professional support.

I would recommend the course. I have participated in a similar course some time ago but this one both refreshed my memory and taught me new information, particularly in relation to psychosis and substance abuse.

I found the elearning good but would prefer longer zoom sessions over this. It is hard to take it all in from the elearning modules. The zoom sessions were really good, Dave is a great instructor - made things relatable and involved everyone. Good that the group wasn't too big either as it meant everyone was involved. The elearning videos were actually really good and engaging too.

I felt like I had a good knowledge about depression in particular before the course however what I found most useful was more advice on how to help people and what to say - to some degree I felt that what I had said was the right thing but there's always room for improvement. I like how each scenario was broken down into ALGEE and that we had time to discuss our ideas. Thank you.
