An online zoom course doesn't really replace an in-person manual handling course. The trainer did their best, but it's just not the same as being shown in-person.

Response : Thank you for your feedback Jamie, I agree the zoom session are not the same as face to face training. The situation currently means we are safer to do zoom sessions in preference to face to face to prevent the spread of infection. Hopefully we can return to regular sessions very soon.

videos not reflective of everyday situations eg. rooms, amount of space you have got to manoeuvre residents.

Response : Thank you for your feedback Elle, I agree with you the training videos are not filmed in a customer room, but in a training room. The current situation means we are not able to do face to face training right now, but hopefully it won’t be long before we can return to them

I don't think manual handling training should be done remotely, sending links to the videos and the material shown on screen share would have taught the same amount. Ultimately training at your place of work is what is actually going to teach you the rest. The sooner this training can be done face to face the better.

We take all feedback seriously I do take your point about the face to face training being the better option, but unfortunately we have to make reasonable adjustments fir safety at the moment. Hopefully it won’t be much longer before we can get back to regular training sessions.

really good way of explaining different types of illnessess and what each person needs and that it's not a one fits all and it is entirely person centered and everyone will be different.

Great introduction to MMD, Parkinson's and Huntingdon's, well paced and very interesting. There was a lot of background noise from other people in the group which made it difficult to hear and follow the presentation at times.
