A very interesting course with content that will aid me greatly in performing my job better and with greater appreciation for the role I have.
Over the month of September I have had five different courses of various types. George has been bar the best tutor/trainer of the five. Very knowledgeable of the course content, different books and authors.
I’m so glad I’ve attended this 2 day course. The knowledge and skills I have gained will be used in the future.
Lynne was very approachable and the pace of the course was good
Lots of information over the 3 days which i look forward to using my assessment and working life. Opened my eyes on different ways of communicating and receiving and giving feed back with all different departments and walks of life whether that be personal or business.
I think this course has been extremely beneficial to me, and i have learnt so much in such a short time! I will be applying the things i learnt Monday, and i feel as this course is extremely beneficial to any new manager, or experienced manager. I also feel a Lynne is a great trainer, the way she describes topics, and asks open questons. One thing i have learnt from Lynne is that she was not shy of accountability, where she may have explained a questions perfectly well, if i didn't understand she would instantly take accountability to the fact she may not have described it well (even though she did) and then reposition the question for further clarity, and i feel as that is a great skill to have, and demonstrates what a great manager is.
The course covers all safety aspects of using the equipment very well. However, as someone who had never worked on any abrasive wheels, I struggled with the practical demonstration of preparing a hand grinder at the end, since the course did not go through the basic practical steps, only highlighting the safety issues.
the review of the tables and slicers was helpful, it answered some of the questions I had from the previous training session. These were questions that were answered in the previous session, but I didn't fully grasp until walking through them a second time.
Nice refresher with regards operation, inspection and maintenance of work equipment.
