Elliot is a brilliant teacher and mentor. I would very much like to return to expand on my learning during the past 2 weeks. Thank you Elliot.

Elliott Kensdale is a lovely tutor and has been teaching from maybe 20 years or more. He has good knowledge about the PLC and relevant topics. On the other hand, On the first day, it felt like he was just reading the slides and hardly much enthusiasm. Ideally, the students should be introduced what they will be learning for next 5 days. On the first day, we felt like..."Oh dear have we done a mistake by coming, is it even worth". Second day (timers) was very intense. Third day was a bit better. Fourth day was good with practice questions. The another problem is "Carbon-di-oxide" in the room. We were 8 people in the room and outside temperature was ~0 degrees. The trainer will open the windows to ensure that the CO2 levels are adequate. Opening the windows in summer is good, in winter! Damn, we were getting trained in cold and wearing full jackets (usually supposed to be wore outside) inside. Even with that, it was cold, plus very cold in the feet (wearing clothes shoes). So, you can imaging training yourself learning about PLC in cold room. There were more chances of getting sick with cold rather than CO2 levels. Another good issue was timings. The Technique office is open till 1730 hours. However, as the trainer or the training timings are from 0900-1515 hours. You can't practice after 1515 hours. We were having difficulty understanding some concepts and wanted a peaceful quite time to practice the concepts. We requested the trainer multiple times to let us practice after 1515 hours but No. We came here to learn the concepts, become strong technical skills. All what was needed is power supply to the laptop and the PLC kit. We did say, we will shut down it but No. If we can't practice what we learn (after hours and within office timing, what's the point). We were here to learn rather than just gain a certification. Also, when asked about the PLC10, 15 course, he just mentioned we would learn some advance concepts, advance exercises. It would have helped us more if the trainer tells that what is covered in next steps rather than just generic stuff. In short, we would generally not recommend the course, until the improvements are made. You can probably learn way more online rather than in-person. The students learn more by themselves (self-teaching) rather than any influential input from the trainer. The only USP is that they (trainer) provide a kit to practice and some questions set.

I recently completed the Total Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Course – 10 Days course and I am thoroughly impressed with the experience. The venue was exceptionally well-equipped, providing a diverse range of tools necessary for comprehensive learning. What set this course apart for me was the excellence of the tutor, Tim. He stands out as the best instructor I've encountered in any City and Guilds training so far. His depth of knowledge in the field is remarkable. More importantly, his willingness to expand on topics and ensure they are clearly understood is commendable. Unlike other courses I've attended, this tutor never dismissed any topic as 'out of the scope of the course.' He patiently revisited subjects whenever needed to ensure complete understanding. One of the biggest takeaways for me was the confidence I gained by the end of the course. I now feel fully prepared to install a split air conditioning system on my own. I highly recommend this course to anyone interested in air conditioning installation. Whether you're new to the field or looking to enhance your skills, this course is an excellent choice.

You can judge the content of the course, its relevance by how quickly the days pass- and this course has flown by. Really interesting and useful sections covered. Really well presented by the tutor who expertly nudged you in the right direction. I feel a lot more confident after this course.
