Very expensive course to say you dont get any course booklet or information to look back on. Also you are expected to have a photographic memory on software you may have not used before. Hands off teaching approach. I wont be coming back or recommending to anybody else. 7 people in our class all paying £1200 and you cant provide a course book . Complete joke!

John was a fantastic tutor and I have no complaints about him whatsoever ever and hope to see him again. However The Course is not long enough! This course should be at least 3-4 weeks to be able to actually learn and absorb the information. This shouldn’t be called a course as you’re not learning anything, only how to pass an exam. Too much information to take onboard in such a short time. This is more about making money than it is about educating electricians to be able to verify the safety of an electrical installation. This is at best a refresher course. The documents that you can sign after doing just a four day course, which could potentially cause harm or at worst case death. This is absolutely criminal. A wrongly filled in document or wrongly identified installation could land you prison if filled out in-correctly. How can you say that in four days you can competently teach all this information to a student. If anything this has put me off testing in my career as I don’t get paid enough to have this sort of responsibility on my head with such little training. I am an experienced Electrician of 11 years.

From the beginning I have been missed my course. I'm a complete beginner in airconditioning, refrigeration, and electrics. I was sold the course as a beginners course which was very far from the truth. I did the 20day course Stating f-gas ,refrigerant ,fault finding , electrical installation and test and inspection complete novice course. Tim Morris was the tutor in ac,refrigerant for the 1st 10 days . I was actually sat I'm the wrong class for the 1st 45 mins ? I was also expecting a lot of practical work (advised by booking staff) unfortunately at max 2.5days then all paper based and there is no way anyone without any experience can absorb all the information and leave knowing what there doing ? My honest opinion is there after money and pass rates . There was a student falling a sleep constantly and tim never said anything even though it was brought to his attention. Baring in mind we was studying explosive gases . The same students practical was absolutely shocking (but was still passed of by tim) I complained to Simon and he was so patronising towards me ? I failed twice and paid to resit again passing by a margin? I walked out the with f-gas certificate but with no actual knowledge which is a very poor way of doing things ? The same guy falling asleep had no experience and passed (absolutely barbaric and dangerous) . 3rd week I turned up on the Monday and was told my course doesn't start till Wednesday. I should have been doing an installing ac unit ,fault finding, circuit checking, basic electrical course , somehow I ended up on an 18th edition course with Andy polkinghorne (I wasn't aware at any point I was on the wrong course as being a beginner and knowing I was due to be doing some electrical) after the 1st day I complained saying it was to hard but was told to stick with it (anyone who as done 18th edition will understand its not for beginner's) On day 2 I complained again saying I don't think I was on the right course was again told it will come not to worry, Andy was very fast to quick I had know idea how to read the book (it's was all paper based) no practical at all . 3rd day I raised the concerns about not being on the right course , with a very poor response from Mic barber and Andy Sharp (Andy actually told me he wasn't the person I needed to speak to) but proceeded to talk to me .the whole course was £4500 a lot of money for the shit show of the course. Very poorly advised and no support. I'm not even attending next week to do the testing and inspection as It's to advanced for anyone with no electrical background . See you in court for a full refund

From the start the tutor Keith made it clear that he had an issue with the company Technique. As this was the last course he was presenting having recently resigned from the company. On entering he didn’t formally introduce himself or indicate the facilities. Keith spent the first 2 days reading through the regs book. We did four practice papers, one we started ourselves and the others he told us the answers. He didn’t give us any guidance of how to follow the regs book and the presentation he delivered was rushed. It was obvious he wasn’t interested with it being his last days. As a tutor/presenter I found him to be obviously knowledgeable and experienced in the field. I found him to be sexiest, homophobic and racist with his humour.

The tutor, Keith, was a very knowledgeable person, and knew everything there is to know about the 18th edition. The lap tops didn't work and it seems that there was a lack of support from the company for Keith. I brought my own drinks as there was a lack of facilities and no milk on site.

I found the course /exam completely pointless. I had already covered the subjects on the 2391 and 2364.It was very stressful three very hard day's working at speed I would never do in industry due to safety.I was almost sick on last day due to stress.no experienced worker should be put under this amount of pressure.

Tutor was extremely ineffective at being a trainer. This was the worst course I have ever been on. I wrote an email of complaint and was told management would contact me but they have not. Two students walked out on 1st day due to the tutors lack of training ability and I walked out on day two - he was crap. I'll never attend that centre again.

Having recently completing a self funded domestic electrical course and achieving an average of 85% on all online exams with another provider I decided to try technique after reading their advertising on the website I felt confident to achieve the above course I knew it would be challenging but I was determined and committed to try my best though hard work and commitment arriving on Monday morning I was greeted by lovely people and briefly shown around my first impression was a cold unfinished unit with areas resembling a building site the classroom was completed but lacked any helpful information like testing procedures on posters to cater for new learners who wanted to be taught the correct procedures and get hands on tuition to guide the learner though the process required to complete the course to a learning standard but sadly this didn’t happen the course was rushed though and although any questions asked to the tutor were answered I felt that important information were lacking and the word fail was frequently spoken and the frequency of failure of the course very apparent it would have been nice being shown the correct procedures of testing hands on from experienced tutors demonstrating and sharing his skills to support our learning experience but sadly this week I wasn’t shown that and felt left in the cold regarding these important procedures with the reassurance that you could pay extra to have more time to practice but this is ok if the learner had the knowledge to do the completion of testing and inspection unaided hence the reason why we come to learn Steve was a great guy very friendly but more guidance would have been helpful I’m sorry to say I won’t be recommending your company for training I hope this insight is taken onboard And this feedback is reviewed

Overall I am very disappointed with the course. It is sold as being able to take a novice such as myself from total beginner through to passing the Inspection and Testing. This is not a realistic claim. For individuals with some prior knowledge the course can probably deliver on its promises. But on more than one occasion I had people who were sitting various parts of the course some of whom had some experience and others that had years worth of electrical experience incredulous that it was thought possible that I could come in totally new and get all the way through. Also very disappointed that when I called head office to delay my exams/practical and ask for advice - the response was simply to try and flog me another course! A call back was promised but has still not occurred...
