Excellent course very informative and well structured. Plenty of time to reflect and practise what you’ve learnt. Is quite a commitment so would suggest making sure its the right time for you!

A really fab course, thank you Catherine! I wasn’t sure I’d enjoy the online version but I thought it was so well done. Everyone had an opportunity to speak if they wished to and no one person ever dominated; it was extremely well managed. Loved having the paper booklet too as it gave me a focus each week. So glad I was able to participate in the ‘in person’ retreat day and despite my anxieties about it maybe being too long for me, it whizzed by and was thoroughly enjoyable. I really do feel I have the tools to help me now and definitely look forward to a much calmer and hopefully relaxed, me! Thank you.

The course has been incredibly helpful to me and several people close to me have said what a difference they have noticed. I was nervous about shining a light on some aspects of the way I manage and process things but I stepped out of my comfort zone and it has really paid off. Catherine's style was reassuring and easy to follow, it felt like a positive non threatening thing to be doing. I'm so grateful and have been implementing strategies I've learned nearly every day.

Mindful Surrey (Catherine) presented an hour-long “Introduction to Mindfulness” session for our employees to give a bit of an overview about what Mindfulness is/how it originated, but more importantly, how we could incorporate it into our daily lives to better support our wellbeing and resilience. I left the session feeling so relaxed, and have managed to incorporate some of the tools I learnt during the session into my daily life in the days that have since followed! The course was very good and practical, with the meditations being of a sensible length and not too long. Definitely feel a difference after 8 weeks. I took the course via zoom which meant this excellent course was available to me. I live in Somerset and Catherine is based in Surrey. I have previously looked into doing a similar course but would have to venture into a city, with all of the traffic and parking issues that involves, which I always thought was counter-intuitive to a mindfulness course. Therefore, being able to do the course from my peaceful country home was bliss. As the weeks rolled on I felt an increasing connection with Catherine and my cohort of pupils, through the group chats and smaller break-out rooms. I also valued the privacy of zoom, after all Meditation is usually something one does in a private space, and thus I felt much less self-conscious than I might have done in an in-person group. Further to this because I was at home I was able to establish a quiet place in which to attend the course, this in turn helped with establishing a daily practice. Catherine herself is a very gentle and considered teacher, you feel she always has time for you, and will take extra one-to-one time with you at the end of a session if you have a personal need. The course handbook was very useful. I printed out the pages for each week as I went along and now have a valuable resource of material to fall back on. Accessing the meditation tracks was super easy, I really like that they are by Catherine as we got to know her voice very well: it felt very reassuring. The retreat day was also a lovely experience, and definitely worth making the time for. Throughout the course Catherine read out a selection of prose and poems and I am so delighted that she has collected these together and sent a copy as a final ‘gift’ now we have reached the end of the course.Response : Thank you for your very detailed and thoughtful feedback.
