Well run refresher course. Covered all topics which I needed
Andy has impressive in depth knowledge of his subject and engaged very effectively with the group. However I felt that, at times, I was being given more information than I needed and it was difficult to retain it all. A PowerPoint presentation may have worked better than Andy writing on a small white board....but this was probably a factor of the location. Overall it was an effective course well presented by Andy.
The wooded area wasn’t suitable for our needs. Danny was a brilliant, experienced trainer. Course was very informative.
Generally a well run course with an experienced trainer, who did a good job. Some teaching material was a bit out of date. There was no access to hot food.

Thank you for you comments about the teaching material. We review this periodically in line with the HSE guidelines and will ensure this programme is the next one done. I thought that the training from Brendan was excellent, very engaging and fun to learn from. My only complains where that the wrong address was given to myself and 3 other attendees for our first day, we did not receive any prior information email, I would suggest maybe attaching read receipts to these emails and calling those who do not receive as this caused much disruption on the first day. secondly the venue did not have adequate parking at all, there was 5 of us including the instructor and we struggled both days to find any parking spaces, however other business's using the venue had reserved allocated spaces this may be something the course looks to do when using Merrist Wood College in future?
Very good course well aimed at the conservation work I'm involved with outdoors. Good to do practical work on situations that might actually happen. Danny was very happy to cover anything we felt we needed and gave some good advice about our first aid kits, I shall be adding to ours.
The very knowledgeable and experienced trainer made the course fun!
