Although the content of the course is sensitive I thoroughly enjoyed the training session. I feel more confident talking about suicide to people who may be in crisis but also about talking more generally about what I learnt in the training so that others might be able to spot the signs and help someone. I would definitely recommend the training to anyone whether in a supportive role or not.

I think this training is always a good thing to have. it was a good refresher for someone who has experience with dealing with people struggling with suicidal thought/tendencies. I think its such a great course for those who have little experience. I really like some of the phrases that have been used today 'sometimes when people...'. the main thing i have taken is how when someone tells us whats going on, we go back with the feeling. fantastic bit of advice. really enjoyed the course

Whilst I appreciate that time is always constrained on courses such as these, having more time to role play would make the session more realistic and relatable. The phrases used were prescriptive and it would have been good to explore scenarios where a different response might be received. Overall though it was a good course and I felt I learnt much from it.
