Kev has an amazing ability to make difficult subjects easier to tackle. This training is an invaluable addition to the MHFA training. I hope I don't need to use it regularly, but I will keep practising so I can be the best support I can to anyone in need. I feel confident I can make a positive difference in my workplace and community.

I thoroughly enjoyed the training. I found it very difficult at first to say the word suicide out loud and to openly speak about it. This course has given me more confidence to be able to recognise some of the signs, to approach someone and directly ask them if they are suicidal. Throughout the course I have learnt that just by having a conversation with someone could be the prevention of suicide.

Insightful - will rebook at terminology we use on the website (I.e commit and replace with death by).

Great training and I wish it was mandatory for everyone as a basic life skill!

Really valuable course, such a difficult subject but just the re-enforcement that asking someone if they are having thoughts of suicide will not make them them think about suicide is so vital. Having clear steps of what to ask and how to ask and then what to do based on the response makes me more confident in my ability to have that conversation should I see the signs.
