Making a difficult subject feel safe, approachable and manageable is the provider’s distinctive strength, according to attendees. They consistently praise knowledgeable, empathetic trainers who explain clearly, invite discussion and create supportive, non-judgemental spaces. Courses combine practical frameworks, realistic conversations, workbooks, videos and useful resources, with a well-judged pace and breaks. I think that the fact that it is directed to a wide variety of people (lay people as well as all kinds of workers) makes it highly accessible and very useful but at the same time, I believe that there is a need for a more work-orientated and specific course.

I know it's not necessarily part of the course because this is first response, but I'd like a course on how to support someone who is living with suicidal thoughts as part of their life (I work in visiting support/residentials).
