Steve has been fantastic to listen to, I have learnt a great deal from this and feel it is has been extremely useful to have. As the Mental Health Triage team leader for Dorset Mind, I believe this should be part of the mandatory training as it will help my practitioners to be more confident having these conversations with patients. Thank you for this. My only bad comment would be, it should be asked if everyone is comfortable with role-playing and happy to continue. Often when providing mental health training, people joining have their own mental health issues and it can cause a lot anxiety. It would have been better for Steve to say, is anyone willing to volunteer to role play with me now? Usually at least one person would come forward.

The course was challenging, relevant and meaningful. I found it much more difficult than I had anticipated and was hugely grateful for the kindness and genuine support given by the tutor, Steve. I felt that we have been given appropriate and valuable tools to support us when having these conversations, which is happening more and more within my work life. I feel better equipped and ready to help others, which is very important. Thank you
