Really Enjoyed the session. Tutor was friendly, kind and knowledgeable about the subject. Also friendly in a nice natural way and easy to build rapport with.

Thank you Clive, very calm, friendly and informative. I was slightly concerned that I would be drained at the end of such a course, but this really was not the case. Lots of facts and informative information with an emphasis on to how to look after ourselves too, which was really enlightening. Thank you so much.

I was highly satisfied with all aspects of the course. Suicide is an extremely sensitive subject and attending this course has gone some way in building my confidence in supporting people dealing with suicidal thoughts in my work place

One of the things I found extremely useful was hearing the word reach in instead of reaching out - there is always an expectation around having the individual reach out for support but as the trainer stated its important for individuals to reach in as struggling people find it difficult to ask for help needed. Doing this shows that you care and are willing to provide them with emotional support and understanding which is equally important. Doing the SFA course also reiterated how to recognise warning signs of suicidal thoughts and behaviours and how to respond to those signs using supportive and helpful language which is key when supporting someone with suicidal thoughts because it can help the person feel more connected and less isolated.

I was delighted to understand more the signs that someone might be contemplating suicide. Too late for me to intervene with my father but hopefully if I were to see those signs again, I could have the conversation.
