The National Centre for Suicide Prevention Education & Training UK CIC Reviews

Craig R, 16 Nov 2023

A very good course, which has highlighted the numerous individuals that may require help but 'slip through the net' within our working / personal life. This course also increased my confidence in bridging the subject of suicide with those who may require it.

I felt after all this it is generally what we do and what we are good at, communicating and being good listener’s. Our problem is signposting people as we have limited pathway’s. Asking the correct questions was useful though.

Good course and with a good subject - well needed due to lack of training with mental health within job role.

I found this course and the MHFA training really beneficial in my role. It has inspired me to look for more training opportunities and I feel confident to deal with incidences or disclosures that may arise.

I have really learnt a lot today. I feel much more prepared to help someone that is thinking of suicide. There were so many helpful ways to reframe such as being mindful of language Active listening, seeking to understand, recognition, permission. Practising actually asking the question outright - are you thinking of suicide was really valuable & powerful. The employee assistance programme & Hub of Hope tips were great too. Ellie’s delivery is excellent!
