Very good course. Really gets you thinking about the signs and the reasons for suicide. More people should talk about it as it’s not a taboo subject.
The course was brilliant. I would love to see it made a compulsory part of training for EMDs before they start taking calls!
Having completed this training, I feel I have obtained the skills in actively listening to someone who may be having thoughts of suicide. The workbook is a handy tool for me to keep and refer back to if needed.
Was interesting to learn the statistics. I find that most aspects were all things I currently provide as that person in the moment but was nice to be refreshed.
