Really enjoyed this course. Helped me understand not to be afraid of asking direct questions to clients or anyone else who is struggling with this.
Excellent - gave me more confidence around safety planning and practical steps like offering food, drink to someone due to it reducing cortisol levels. Some new facts and figures too.
Literally refreshing, as well as being refresher training for me.
I found the training very useful and informative. Loved the fact there was a handout/notes to go along with the training as am not very good at taking down notes, therefore the handout is something I can look back on.
Excellent training. Made it clear how SFA can radically change the outcome for someone contemplating suicide.
The training was good, i struggled with it being for 3 hours on zoom. Due to my length of time in a prison setting i found a lot of the training a repetition of what we already learn in prison training. Also found some of the 'correct' terminologies difficult as these have been said for years and personally can't see the issue with them.
A very enjoyable course, would recommend to everyone, not just clinical staff.
The course is short and concise but you actually get a lot out of it. Its a good balance of facts, information, discussion and interaction. It was delivered expertly as an online course, with a lot of technical support and guidance. I was also always aware there was another person who was a supporter so felt I was looked after if I had needed anything throughout the session.
Even though this was a virtual training course which was very different. I thought it was very well delivered and enjoyable. Taking time at the beginning to explain how to use the functions and what to press when was great especially to someone like myself that's not very tech savvy.
