Very informative and learnt an awful lot
Thank you this was a really useful refresher and has given me more tools and processes to follow in this situation
I think it has given me space to consider how to help someone considering suicide and revisit my thoughts on suicide in general
Suicide is a very heavy subject and the ability to recognise these trends in people in the current climate is a good tool to have especially with the current pandemic effecting everyone.
I found this thoroughly interesting and helpful
This has really armed me with a tool kit of resources that I feel I will be able to use well in the future and will help me if I ever find myself or others in this situation.
Very good course. I feel that due to my personality it is still out of my comfort zone to speak about this kind of thing or to approach someone, however it has given me more confidence and tools to do so.
I enjoyed the course however, I still feel a bit unsure of how to actually speak to someone in a dangerous situation. It would have been good to have more example conversations, perhaps more videos or role play. Although I appreciate this would be tough I think it would help build confidence and knowledge of how to actually be a suicide first aider. When we all had to 'ask the question' it would have been good if Tess had given each of us a different situation/scenario. It would have been a challenge but a good way to learn. Perhaps this could be done in breakrooms if people are nervous.
