I found the subject matter quite daunting having never had to deal suicide on a personal level, and was worried about attending the session but afterwards I felt empowered and Chris has given me to skills to approach the subject head on.

The course provided me with insight and knowledge and the confidence to have those difficult conversations. Delivery style was welcoming, non-judgemental, focused on the topic.

One of the best virtual training i have done (and i have done a lot during lockdown). It held my attention throughout and i learnt a lot that i can take forward at work. The worksheets were really good and i would be able to use the skills in future. Liked the self care check in tool and life wheel. Really useful to have the resources to support my clients. Excellent training session - really enjoyed it.

I feel far more confident to approach a conversation with a suicidal person and support them through the process. I feel that the first section around suicide could have been condensed. This would have left more time to expand on the suicide safety guide - 3 steps. Possibly analysing case studies or videos in small groups and how we would respond to these situations.

I feel this is a great opportunity to get an in-depth understanding of how to respond to a person who may be suicidal.
