I now feel more confident after taking the course. I possibly would not have been able to approach the suicide topic with someone before by just asking, if I thought something might be wrong but now I know that asking is key.
Great course, everybody should do this; Schools, GP’s and health clinics... to widen their prevention skills and techniques.
Course was well presented and informative. I felt included and part of the training. Role plays were also very good.
One of the best courses I have done - thank you. I felt very well 'looked after'.
Difficult subject delivered in a sensitive way and feel better equipped to deal with such a situation.
Really helpful - the checklist and pie chart resource is very useful
Response: Thank you for being part of this group - for your time and for your desire to support others. I'm glad you found the resources useful too.
Thank you so much. Really useful (and timely) training session. Liked how we all had to say out loud the question. Helped make it less impossible for future real life situations.
This was well organised and well managed. The content was great at dispelling myths about suicide and considering who was at most risk. I enjoyed the requests for feedback using tick and cross as well as comments in the chat box. The tutor was particularly good at weaving in and responding to the chat comments.
I think the self care elements of the course for us as attendee really did support the course. I felt that 'talking' about suicide, really will help the next time I might need to 'listen' to someone with suicidal thoughts. Realising that you can not solve the complex phenomenon of suicide but the want to try, is indeed a step towards helping someone.
