Although a tough subject to learn about I found the course very positive and learnt a substantial amount. Juliet was very knowledgeable and passionate about the subject. It has boosted my confidence on how to ask the difficult questions around suicidal behaviours and taught me about the importance of language around the subject.
The course was very informative and has increased my confidence in how and when to ask about when someone is experiencing suicidal thoughts which I will take forward into my nursing career. It was engaging and well organised, I enjoyed it!
Very informative , Steve presented the topic well - good mix of tutor lead and breakout sessions
A really engaging trainer, thank you very much to Steve. Only one small niggle but perhaps the trainer could ask people to raise their hands when answering a question as there were a few times people spoke over each other.
I would recommend this course to all Surrey County Council employees.
Good introduction Especially re. the language you should/should not be using
I think this course gives you the confidence to approach someone if they are suicidal. I had some colleagues from the safeguarding team who I work with on the course and it is going to help us help more students as we are in a college setting. It is going to help us destigmatize suicide
A very good course. very informative. I have gained more knowledge and understanding. I t was good to listen to others peoples experiences.
