The only thing that made me hesitant in rating 5 stars is that we ran out of time. The content was very good and Lisa was an engaging presenter. The beginning could have been delivered at a quicker pace. Although, there were a variety of participants with different professional backgrounds who had lots of valuable contributions to make which impacted on time.
This was a heavy subject but was taught in a manner that was manageable and therefore easier to digest. I felt that the course was good at teaching possible signs and how to be direct with someone who may be thinking of suicide - instead of skirting around the subject. I felt that the course gave me a better understanding of the subject and gave me better confidence in dealing with this subject with someone if it was to ever arise.
Overall very good and I've learned something new and it's something that I can use in my work setting with my CYP.
Thank you, it was really useful to learn the different approach to someone feeling suicidal, such as change of language which could make a big difference.
A really worthwhile course about a very important subject. It was sensitive yet practical and it was very helpful. Well paced too with time to talk.
Course has clarified what I learnt on MH first aid.
