4.8 (267 reviews)
AI summary of reviews

Attendees particularly value the trainers’ ability to make complex legislation, case law and legal terminology clear, precise and practical. They describe Sue, Steve and Max as knowledgeable, patient, approachable and engaging, using real-world examples, case studies, discussion and group work to connect theory with BIA practice. The course is well structured, with useful materials and a supportive pace that builds confidence in applying the Mental Capacity Act, DoLS and best-interests principles at work, although the content feels intensive for some.

There is a lot to take in in such a short space of time. Very interesting course. Worth doing.

Overall it was a very good training, I feel quite passionate about the subject in a way I didn't before. I signed up to Bond Solon because it was only 4 days long training; however I came to realise that it may be a bit too short. I feel quite confused about what I have learnt and will need to do an awful lot of self-directed learning to get my head around how the whole lot fits together. However, it is expected at Masters level. It would of been nice to include a practicing BIA's knowledge and views in the training.

The trainer was very knowledgeable and passionate around the subject. With this being a new area for me, I personally would have benefitted from more video's / visuals to be able put theory to practice. There was a lot to learn over four days, perhaps the course should have been delivered over a longer period of time.
