I particularly enjoyed the interactive sessions and breakout rooms as it gave me the chance to discuss with other professionals who had different insights.
Francesca was very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. The training will enhance my everyday practice and feel more equipped to support colleagues to safeguard the children they work with.

The course has given me a much greater understanding of the legal frameworks that sit behind safeguarding decisions. As a Director, who has not come from an operational safeguarding background, I also feel I now better understand and appreciate the role and expertise of our social workers. I thoroughly enjoyed the course and have made some great contacts, who have also shared resources with me. I would highly recommend the course but I would have welcomed a few more case studies to work through, particularly examples that demonstrate best practice in safeguarding decision-making. I think this would have helped bring some of the learning to life and supported its application in practice. It has reinforced for me that, as a senior leader, I have an important role in setting the tone for safeguarding. I need to make sure safeguarding remains highly visible, is taken seriously and stays at the forefront of staff practice and decision-making.
I really enjoy and value Bond Solon training, I think in the safeguarding arena it is always so useful to have lawyers / barristers etc deliver training. I found the information very useful and as always at this level, the group discussion is so beneficial. My only improvement suggestion is to try and make Day 1 slightly more interactive as it felt like we were being 'talked to' for quite long periods of time. Whilst I appreciate that information needs to be put across, at this level, most of us should have a basic understanding of the legal framework and I wonder if it would have been more interesting if we had been able to have a bit more group discussion, or be involved a bit more in Day 1. Maybe some discussions around 'this is what the law says' but in your roles, how much do you find this is followed? How easy is it to challenge other professionals etc etc.
