Loved the workshop as always. But there was NO discussion AT ALL about the workbooks essays, just a brief mention, and even more shockingly, NO DISCUSSION about the practical element AT ALL! Do we need to create a draft contract? If so, what should it contain? I was expecting that this module would give us the tools and ideas we need to conduct these sessions, and while it was an interesting day, I could not believe there was nothing to prepare us to mentor our practice clients whatsoever.
No, this was an excellent workshop and very well delivered. with a new group which was very beneficial.
Jason was excellent and I could see he really goes the extra mile to make sure his cohort is well supported.
Very calm and systematic exposition by Martyn. The break out rooms were well balanced and changed around, which helps to speak to different people.
The day was really useful in that it offered the opportunity to revise some of the techniques, look at some of the standards as well as have a longer practice session,
Very good session being able to have longer coaching and observation time, and being able to coach and be coached in an environment of peers at a similar level of competency and capability
I think Martyn is a good facilitator but was let down by the technology and it really threw him. He was more confident in the 'wash up' session at the end of the day, but less effective at the beginning where I felt he was padding a bit until the technology functioned. I did not find the recap on the models particularly helpful, and I've yet to get a good sense of Gestalt from any of the trainers - I wonder if it is so difficult to explain why we keep discussing it at this level?
