Positive experience and a number of key skills and knowledge to apply to my role. My tutor was very helpful and I understood all areas when being explained.

Bar is higher than in my usual employment investigations but very helpful to have understanding of the standards for a PACE investigation

Jim was an excellent trainer who clearly has plenty of experience and made the course stimulating over a long two days! Really good at creating a space where people can feel open to suggest ideas and answer questions/test things out. I think the one aspect which I personally would have benefitted from a bit more in depth is practicing the interview style, specifically in relation to types of questions we should and should not be answering. Its very easy to fall into traps of poor questioning technique, and an opportunity to be observed and get feedback would've taken it to that next level of detail for me. Beyond that, really good course - thank you Jim!

Jim made the topic interesting and engaging, drawing on lots of examples from both his career and from the news. Everyone on the course contributed at one point or another which was really great to see. There was a mix of smaller breakout rooms and whole group discussions, as well as a mixture of presentation slides, videos, and verbal discussions. Would definitely recommend this course.
