Excellent course, very informative and useful for my day to day role. Having the workbook to fill in as we go along is very good to keep you engaged rather than just being spoke at for 2 days. Tony was brilliant, very knowledgeable, engaging and approachable!

I’m so sorry but I just found that the instructor constantly talked about where he has worked in the past what jobs he’s done it was all about him I can’t count how many times he said he was a head teacher!!!! I know all about his family his divorce his brother his dad his kids He constantly mentioned how he has sort of saved people even said that when paramedics turned up to some one they asked him his opinion!!! I found him self centred and controlling sometimes he cut people off when they were speaking, he had to be right about most things It’s probably the most boring course I’ve ever attended I did this course last year and felt it was delivered far better I could add a lot more but I’m just glad it’s over

Al, is very knowledgeable and a huge advocate for Mental Health first aid. He ran the class at a great tempo, with a brilliant balance between seriousness, humour and understanding. Overall very good. I’ve attended an online course previously, this was far better

Tony was great. Gave me the confidence to know a lot of what I was already doing is correct but the ALGEE model gives a reference point to refer to to ensure I cover all points

This course was extremely eye opening and challenged a lot of fixed ideas about mental illness that I didn't know that I had. I feel significantly more prepared to face difficult conversations and more able to signpost people to professional and informal support.
