Practical scenario work and repeated use of the ALGEE framework help attendees translate mental health first-aid principles into calm, supportive action. They value knowledgeable, empathetic trainers who create safe, inclusive discussions, maintain a clear pace and encourage learning from peers. The blended modules, videos, handbook and breakout exercises build understanding and confidence that transfers to work and personal situations, although some find the online manual awkward to navigate.

Thank you to Lisa and Claire for leading a really interesting course. For breakout discussions it would have been helpful to produce something (a Jambord possibly?) with all of us able to access later as a reminder.

Response: Hi Sally, thank you for the feedback. That is definitely something we could look into doing in future.

As a mental health sufferer myself, I found the course to be interesting and packed full of interesting information that I can apply to others in situations. I feel that I have gained enough knowledge to become a mental health first aider
