An excellent course and I am so glad that I attended. I am now a very proud MH First Aider. Having a son with Mental Health issues as well I am keen to ensure that I can protect him and keep him talking. I was accepted as a Samaritan as well and so pleased that I have developed skills over the past year to support others.

Paul and Debbie were amazing. Considering many on the course had experienced mental health issues, Paul and Debbie were extremely mindful of this and continuously made sure we were ok as the topics of the training can trigger past experiences. The pace and content of the training was jut right, not too overwhelming. Plenty of breaks were given as the topics can be difficult but important. The training has now given me confidence in myself and also motivation to help others experiencing mental health issues and direct them to the right professional help. Although we have now completed training, I know that Paul and Debbie will be available to reach out to anytime if I had any questions or needed support myself. Also, thanks to MHFA for offering this course.

Great course, loved the open discussion and being able to hear and understand peoples views. I certainly feel better equipped to provide support to colleagues and people in general if needed.
