I thought it was an excellent course and I am really glad I attended. It gave a fantastic insight to a sometimes little known world that people tend to shy away from. I had recently taught a class of refugees and heard some disturbing stories... this course made me realise the importance of recognising signs of mental illness, especially in people who had perhaps had negative and unimaginable experiences. I feel the course has provided me with the tools to help signpost people who are suffering some sort of mental illness to obtaining the correct professional help and support. It has also helped me understand the issues my own son experienced when he was experiencing psychotic episodes. Thank you for affording me the opportunity to help him and other people...it is greatly appreciated.

A very worthwhile course. Both instructors were very inclusive and involved all participants. Could be made more widely available.

Really enjoyed the interactive meetings and the way in which the facilitators delivered both sessions. Great to have lots of break out rooms and discussions and I really enjoyed learning through the modules and reflecting on these through the zoom meetings. Great to also have the videos to to watch to visualise what people are experiencing and the discussions following these. always had an opportunity to express our views and opinions. We did not have Donna for the first session but Belinda :) Both Belinda and Layla were amazing and obviously very knowledgeable on the subject matter. Great tutors !
